The warm, sunny days of summer call for some slight changes to your daily skin care routine. Here are 7 skin care tips to help your skin shine!



1) Exfoliate Your Way to Glowing Skin


Winter has a charming way of leaving our skin feeling dry and flaky. Say no to dull, lifeless skin with a gentle exfoliator or sugar scrub. Use the product on your face and body up to twice a week to remove dead skin cells and unearth new layers of fresh, radiant skin.

When it comes to beauty and skin care products, expiration dates are something of an enigma. However, these products do have a shelf life and it's important to swap things out here and there. Be sure to include your beauty-stash during your spring-cleaning kick. Throw-out and replace any eye or lip products that have been laying around a little too long. For reference, eye products such as eyeliner and mascara typically last 6 months to a year and lip products can last up to 2 years.



4) Moisturize for More Youthful Skin


Opt for a silicone or water-based moisturizer this spring to avoid heavy, greasy looking skin. Yes, there's more humidity in the air come spring, but moisturizing is still important for keeping your skin soft and more elastic.



5) Water + Skin = BFF's


Water is your skin's best friend. Water is essential for skin to maintain ideal moisture, combat wrinkles and reduce redness. As temperatures start to rise it's extra important to replace any moisture you lose throughout the day with more water to stay hydrated. Aim to drink 8 glasses of water each day and eat hydrating snacks such as watermelon and cucumbers to give your body the H2O it needs.
