Prevent Summer Breakouts

Imagine this, you’re out and about enjoying a summer day, the sun is shining, the air is warm when you pass a mirror and “eeekkk”, your face is totally breaking out!

For many summertime means more sweat, more oil and sadly, more acne. Luckily, there are a few things you do to combat those unflattering pimples!

Soak It Up

If the warm weather has your skin’s oil glands working at maximum-overdrive, toner is your best friend. Tone your skin twice a day using a toning agent and cotton pad for the best results. If you feel like multitasking, purchase a toner containing salicylic acid which helps prevent pimples!

Deep Clean

Clogged pores got you down? Treat yourself to a deep clean to instantly combat dirty skin. Facial cleanser can be used first thing in the morning and after a long day of work to clear-out dirt and leave skin feeling squeaky clean. If you want to take your cleansing to the next level, get a cleansing brush to go deeper into your skin than your soapy fingers can.

Stop Bacteria In Its Tracks

Summer sweat, sun and environmental damage can cause dirt to build up on your skin. Say “no” to that gross, greasy feeling and carry a pack of makeup wipes in your bag. Your face will thank you halfway through the day after a midday swipe.

Strategic SPF

In case you need a reminder, SPF is 100% a summer essential, especially for your face. However, SPF can also feel oily and cause your skin to break out more than usual. If this is the case opt of an SPF with vitamin B3. B3 helps clear acne while simultaneously protecting against the sun’s harmful rays.

New Face, Who Dis?

Alright, new face might be a little dramatic, but summer is a great time to experiment with new, lighter makeup looks. Some products are simply too heavy for the summer heat resulting in clogged pores and angry skin. Try using BB creams and tinted moisturizer for a look that won’t weigh you down or break you out!
