The first 2 appointments are typically spaced 2 weeks apart. Additional future appointments for check-ins and additional recommendations are also available.
$75.00 for the first-hour appointment, f/u appointment (60 min) included.

1. What is Ayurveda? (Eye-yur-vay-duh)
Ayurveda is a holistic healing system that originated in India 5,000 years ago. The goal is to create and maintain balance between mind, body, and spirit. The word Ayurveda translates to “the science of living”.
2. What is abhyanga? (Ah-bee-yahn-gah)
Abhyanga is a full-body oleation using light-to-medium pressure (kind of like a massage). It relaxes the mind and body, improves circulation, moves lymph, and promotes optimal flow of life force energy. Herbalized oil is used head to toe, and clients should expect to leave with oil in their hair.
3. What are the basti add ons? (Bah-stee)
Bastis are dough dams placed on the body and filled with oil. We use besan (chickpea) flour.
4. Kati basti? (Kah-tee Bah-stee)
Kati basti goes on the low back and is used to relieve back pain.
5. Hrid basti? (Rid bah-stee)
Hrid basti (or heart chakra basti) is placed over the heart chackra (center of chest) and is used for energetically healing the heart: heart opening/nourishment, and releasing old emotions that have gotten stuck.
6. Nabhi basti? (Nah-bee Bah-stee)
Nabhi basti is placed over the navel. Like the heart charkra basti, it can be used for energetic healing, as 72,000 subtle energy channels meet at the navel, and for nourishing the 2nd and 3rd chakras. It can also be used to aid digestive and menstrual disorders.
7. What does the lifestyle consultation entail?
Since Ayurveda is a holistic science, we look at every aspect of your life to find the root cause of imbalance. You’ll be asked about diet and digestion, lifestyle and daily routines, spirituality, the environment, the mind, and sleep. From there, your wellness counselor will come up with recommendations designed to bring you back into balance based on your unique mind-body type.
